Previous: Advanced Setting of Creating Pages.

Makeen transform allows you to design pages, forms, and sub forms without writing a single line of code. All you need to do is drag and drop form controls onto the design space.

In this article, you will learn how you can design these pages for your mobile forms app.

Step 1 - Open the Page/Form/Sub form in Page Designer

Once you create a page, form, or sub form, hover over its name until you see the option 'Open Page Designer'.

Step 2 - Check Out the Page

At the very top of the page, you will notice two buttons: Close and Check Out.

Clicking on Check Out prevents others from accessing the page or form while you design it. This step is especially important if you share your transform Studio account with other designers.

Once you click on this button, three additional buttons will appear:

  1. Check In - You need to click this button once you are done designing the form. That way, remaining users can have access to the page/form. If you click on this button before saving or publishing the page, all unpublished changes will be deleted.

  2. Publish and Check In -  Clicking this button publishes the page and checks it in simultaneously. If you click the arrow next to it, you can opt to only publish the page.

  3. Save - This option saves the changes you made to the page or form, but does not make them available to transform app users.

Step 3 - Start Designing Your Mobile Form

Simply drag and drop the form controls on the right onto the canvas. You can learn about transform Studio's form controls here

To create more professional-looking forms, however, you will also need to:

  • Configure the properties of the form controls you add.
  • Define actions or triggers.
  • Add bindings to display values in the control.
  • Map the control to a field in a database or entity.
